Hey, Hey

So i've been living in my new spot now for about 2 weeks and it's cool. I have been working a bit more and so with that not having internet hooked up has not really affected me. I have it now (took so long for our schedules to work together). So I am back in blogness. At any rate what else has been going on...Yeah like I said I have been working more since thanksgiving because from the Friday after thanksgiving, which has been given the title "Black Friday", it is just crazy busy for retailers all the way up until Christmas. Really even after Christmas too because of the after Christmas sales, JEBUS! I have been using my days off to venture around the new neighborhood and check it out and see what there is to do. Not too much but the stuff there is to do is all in walking distance. The Pier that overlooks the East River and Manhattan is a 15 minute walk. They also have a park there where one could lay out during the summer or play football during a snowy winter day. Theres a strip of restaurants and bars on Vernon Blvd. which is about a 10-12 minute walk. LaGuardia Community College is a 7-10 minute walk in the rain. So that's pretty sweet. It's literally just over the bridge. Can't beat that. A walk to Queens Plaza will take about 15-20 minutes. There isnt really much to do there though. Just some cheap eats, a club, and navy, marines, and army recruiting offices. There is Murray Park just a 4-5 minute walk which has benches, basketball courts, and those tables that are chess/checker boards. Also there is a park near the Pier that has basketball courts as well (much nicer courts). Neighborhood seems fine so far. No problems for me. You really have to be aware no matter where you are in this city though. Hari's place is close to everything that he needs...studio/oasis/anytime so he's good. I don't see him very often. Twice a week I guess it is. It aint so bad. I mounted my speakers on the wall just now and i'm listening to arcade fire. Sounds so much better and I feel surrounded by sound. Plus it's not RIGHT in my ears like it used to be. Really I was just bored, and I didn't feel like watching the Billboard Awards. Lastly ill talk about the weather. Lastly? Is that correct? Let me know. It's hotter here than it is in Ramona. If it doesnt snow by Christmas i'm moving back home. This is ridiculous...course right when it gets cold and snowy ill be wishing it was hot again but for now...I was hearing that it's supposed to get hot again for a week then get cold. Who knows/who cares! Freddie got some snow though that stuck finally up in Syracuse, 4 inches he said. Congratulations on that. I know you been wantin' that chief. I guess we'll end it there...p.s.-Yes, Jake still lives in New York.
